ACSO is seeking new board members to serve three-year terms beginning on October 1, 2023 OR beginning October 1, 2024. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to guiding the organization’s growth, forward momentum, and leadership in the field and will help expand ACSO's capacity to serve its members.
You could be a great fit for ACSO if…
- You are passionate about live symphonic and instrumental music
- You are excited about being part of a hard-working and collaborative team
- You have the time and energy to volunteer 6 -10 hours a month on board work: attending board meetings, participating in committee work, and being an ambassador for ACSO
- You are enthusiastic about actively supporting ACSO’s fundraising and friend-raising efforts
Specifically, ACSO is seeking candidates who represent:
- Small budget orchestras (under $1M)
- Organizations serving rural or small communities
- Corporate, academic, philanthropy, or government sectors while also maintaining an affinity or connection with the performing arts
We highly encourage Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) candidates and practicing musician, composer, music director, and teaching artist candidates.
