Meet the ACSO staff

We have some new faces at ACSO, so we thought this was the perfect time to (re)introduce the team working for your professional service organization. We asked each team member to tell us what they like most about working at ACSO and what kind of music, classical or otherwise, is their favorite.

Sarah Weber, Executive Director Some of you may know Sarah in her previous ACSO role as membership and development manager. She stepped into the executive director role in January and is excited to lead the organization into its 50th year and beyond. Sarah’s favorite thing about ACSO is the passion that our members bring to their work and the camaraderie and support they bring to each other. Sarah’s favorite classical composer is Vivaldi because his fiery red hair matches his music, making it the most fun to play.

Maria Romano de León, Membership and Development Manager
Maria just joined ACSO this month. She has worked in the arts and culture sector for many years. Most recently she was an assistant curator at the Petersen Automotive Museum and has been an art history instructor at community colleges in the Los Angeles area. Her favorite thing about working for ACSO is the awesome staff, and she likes all kinds of music, but mostly listens to electronic and ambient.
Caroline Firman, Conference and Programs Manager
Caroline has been a fixture of ACSO since 2008 and has managed 10 of our recent annual conferences. She is also on the board and a member of the Sacramento Master Singers. Her favorite thing about ACSO is that everyone is deeply passionate about the arts and the ACSO network feels like one big happy family. She loves all types of music – classical, choral, and instrumental – but has recently been on a Blues and Americana kick since teaching herself to play the guitar.

Anthony Crespo, Communications Associate
Anthony joined ACSO a year ago to manage our social media communications. He is also the community engagement coordinator at the Colburn School where he oversees music education programs for K-12 students and young musicians, and he serves on the board of the Downey Symphony Orchestra. His favorite thing about ACSO is the multitude of leaders from all kinds of organizations he gets to meet and work with. As a pianist, Anthony favors all kinds of classical and jazz piano repertoire.
We are here to support our members, so don't hesitate to reach out and let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Contact us 800-495-2276 or [email protected].
