ACSO is pleased to announce the introduction of our Constituent Forums, an on-line communication tool that will provide members access to their peers in an efficient and timely manner.  Lists will be maintained and monitored by ACSO and will be open to all Individual Members and current staff of Member Organizations.  This will be a wonderful mechanism to query your colleagues about administrative, artistic or any other pressing issues your organization might have.  Groups will be organized by the categories listed below:  (If there are any more categories that you strongly feel should be added, please let us know at office@acso.org.)

1) To subscribe to a mailing list:
Either send an e-mail to the subscription address for the appropriate list, or contact us here at ACSO and we can add you manually.  For example, if you want to subscribe to the mailing list for Board Presidents, you would send an e-mail, with the word "subscribe" in the subject, to boardpresidents-on@acso.org.  You may subscribe to more than one list, but you must send an individual e-mail request to each list address.  All users will be screened by ACSO before being officially subscribed to the mailing list.  This is to prevent non-members and spammers from accessing the forums.

2) Sending messages:
When you would like to initiate a communication, send an e-mail with your query to the appropriate list address.  Your message will be distributed to all subscribers, who can then reply in kind.  All outgoing queries and responses must first be approved by ACSO.  We are monitoring these messages for appropriate content, but will not be editing any messages.  If any message contains inappropriate content or language, ACSO reserves the right to terminate the communication and unsubscribe the offending user.  Messages will be checked daily, except on weekends and holidays.  ACSO will make every attempt to post queries and responses in a timely manner.

3) Receiving messages:
When a communication within your subscriber list is initiated, you will receive an e-mail, to which you, along with all subscribers, can respond.  Hitting "Reply" will automatically send your posting to the entire list.

4) To unsubscribe from a mailing list:
To unsubscribe from a mailing list, click on the link at the bottom of any of the forum emails and hit send.   If you are subscribed to more than one list, you must unsubscribe from each list individually.
