Kris tap danced and sang in choirs as a child, and acted and produced plays in high school and college. Her grandmother gave her accordion lessons when she was ten but that lasted for just six months. The clarinet was her instrument in the elementary school marching band. She plays piano poorly but continues to dance twice a week. She enjoys home concerts every evening as her husband practices piano.

Caroline has played piano for more than three quarters of her life; she studied voice for five years and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in music from UC Davis in 2006 and Master's degree in Arts Education from CSU Sacramento in 2010. She enjoys encouraging her 2 1/2 year old daughter to play piano and sing songs.
